If you're selling your home without the help of a real estate agent... I can help!

I get it... I really do.  You're trying to save some money on the sale of your home by doing it yourself.  It's a great plan, and tons of folks find success selling their homes in this manner.  And I can help you do it faster.  Let's talk about some of the PRO's and CON's of FSBO.

 

Pros:

     *you're in control.  From scheduling and timing of tours, to negotiations and initial pricing.  

     *you know your home like the back of your hand, and you can present the home in the best light possible

     *finally, the most obvious, you save the commission.  On a $250,000 home, that's $15,000 (based on est. 6% commission)

 

Cons:

     *you might not be pricing it wisely; too high and you won't be getting any offers... too low, and you leave money on the table.

     *you might not be getting the same exposure.  Signs, ads, websites, and the MLS are all tools the Realtor utilizes to sell a home.

     *negotiations, legal forms, etc.  There is quite a bit of paperwork to negotiate, and protections that you want to make sure are in place.

     *finally, dealing with tons of buyers, tire-kickers, and generally unqualified prospects.
